The IBA is pleased to offer the Essentials of Banking Series, designed to provide a complete overview of banking principles and operations. This four-part interactive series is designed to provide a complete overview of banking principles and operations. These sessions are a must for all new bank employees and bank directors new to banking, management trainees, and bank veterans who are looking to broaden their banking knowledge and any and all bank staff with up to five years of experience in the industry.  While it is recommended that participants attend the full series, each session’s material stands alone.

Program Requirements

  • Have Zoom virtual meeting access with audio
  • Interact with the facilitator and other participants in a live, virtual environment, including chat discussions
  • Actively participate in all activities and exercises and complete assignments
  • Have full, working computer microphone and speakers or phone access
  • Although not required, for the best training experience and learning results, attendees are highly encouraged to have their video cameras on during training. 

Facilitator
Christie Drexler is the Senior Consultant and Facilitator for Performance Solutions, Inc., a bank training and consulting company that specializes in providing "real-world" solutions to the key challenges facing banks today in developing teams and building profitable relationships. Christie has over 26 years of experience in the financial industry for community, regional, and national banks. Her experience has been extensive to include successfully navigating both retail and commercial banking careers. Her past roles include Commercial Banker, Regional Sales Manager, Chief Retail Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and Market/Division President. Christie has an MBA with Georgia College and State University and is a John Maxwell Team Certified Trainer, Coach, and Speaker. Christie is a passionate facilitator and coach with a focus on developing leaders in banking.
