2022 has come to end, and 2023 is now upon us. The first day of any new year is still the number one day for new employment laws to take effect, with January 1, 2023, being no exception. Join Scott Cruz, IBA member and Labor and Employment Attorney at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale P.C., as he discusses the new employment laws that went into effect on January 1, 2023, of which Illinois bankers need to be aware to comply. Scott will address the Paid Leave For All Workers Act, scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2024, once Governor Pritzker signs, and share other reminder updates about a few employment laws that took effect in 2022, which should not be forgotten.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • New EEOC and Illinois Posting Requirements
  • Family Bereavement Leave Act
  • CROWN Act
  • One Day Rest In Seven Act Amendments
