On January 1, 2022, several new laws will go into effect that impact all Illinois Notaries. This program will review the new laws, how they will impact Notaries, and the steps Notaries will need to take to meet these new requirements. We will also discuss a new remote notarization option that is available for the first time to Illinois Notaries.

Facilitators
Susi Sivkov began her career with the National Notary Association as a seminar instructor in 2004 facilitating training in 19 different states on new laws, Notary best practices, and loan signing agent courses. In 2006, she took on a new role as a Notary specialist supporting Pennsylvania’s Electronic Notarization Initiatives where she had the opportunity to assist in coordinating the first fully electronic property sale. With her many years of experience and knowledge in the Notary industry, Suzi's current role as the NNA’s Knowledge Product Specialist keeps her busy planning content for the NNA’s annual conferences and other professional Notary events and updating the NNA’s many educational books and courses.

Chris Sturdivant joined the National Notary Association in 2011, having previously spent 13 years in the mortgage banking and financial industries, working with with corporate clients nationwide. His professional background includes management in both mortgage originations and specialty servicing with major banking organizations including CitiMortgage and Morgan Stanley. Chris currently oversees the NNA’s Trusted Notary Program which helps banks supply their Notary employees with the training, supplies, and surety bonds needed to become a Notary Public. Sturdivant is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Economics.
