RSM US LLP Facilitators
Julia Sheehan is a Director in RSM’s national anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory compliance practice. She and her team provide a wide range of compliance consulting services to clients related to the AML/Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), consumer regulatory compliance, and fair lending. For fair lending engagements, Julia works closely with RSM’s data analytics team to evaluate Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data to identify fair lending risk factors in the client’s lending patterns. Julia’s clients include financial institutions and nonbank financial services companies regulated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the prudential banking regulatory agencies. Julia has over 20 years of experience and has served in both an internal audit testing capacity as well as consulting projects to assist clients in developing robust second-line compliance and third-line internal audit programs for AML/BSA and regulatory compliance.

Sarah Hammond, Director of AML Regulatory Compliance Consulting Service, has provided support and leadership in regulatory compliance and risk management for over 20 years. She brings extensive internal audit and operational risk and controls knowledge to her engagements and widespread enterprise experience working with domestic institutions. Sarah has been dedicated to the financial crimes space as a subject matter expert and has been contracted for highly niche and specialty engagements, including supporting entities and government agencies with investigative response efforts.
